Stein all the way

Young American's living in 20th century bohemian Paris were the Steins.   Gertrude, the writer, her brothers Leo and Michael plus Sarah, Michael's wife.  These lovely peeps were among the first to recognize the talents of avant-garde painters like Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. Through their social activities and amazing and important friends they helped spark an artistic revolution. This landmark exhibition draws on collections around the world to reunite the Steins' unparalleled holdings of modern art, bringing together, for the first time in a generation, dozens of works by Matisse, Picasso, Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and many others.  This collection is just making me go bananas!!!  The Steins get to share a rare, in-depth encounter with part of history and the extraordinary people behind the birth of modern art.  San Francisco MOMA is the place to be for this amazing chance to witness first hand the first of the first.  The exhibit starts May 21st - Sept 6th.  GO GO GO!!!
