The Fashion world of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk is the 1st retrospective ever devoted to this couturier, who is been creating beauty since 1976 and became Haute Couture master in 1997. The exhibition for the "enfant terrible of fashion" will celebrate the boldness- and refinement of his avant-garde style. This will take place from June 17- Oct 2 at the Montreal Museum of fine Arts, the event will celebrate the 35th anniversary of M.Gaultier's fashion. At this amazing exhibition guests will encounter mannequins whose faces are brought to life via video! The exhibition will highlight 120 haute couture dresses and pret-a-porter pieces. The sophisticated, innovative exhibition will reflect Jean Paul Gaultier's tremendous visual culture, boundless curiosity, energy and sense of humor. Even Madonna lent him back (only temporarily) one of her legendary cone bra corsetts!
