When I created this hat I was in the zone, for real. I wanted to create something that looked like it was about to fly. One morning while I was walking my dogs I found a freshly dead crow. I brought it home and to my boyfriends horror I cut the wings off. I then mummified them. I placed them in cornmeal in a shoe box in a closet for 45 days. This prevents any contamination or odor. They don't smell and they look fresh. I finished by fixing it on a suede like material, added 40'' laces and several giant black crystals. J.C can rock this look for days.
